We will be participating in this years OLD FORTH FESTIVAL for the first time and we are pretty excited by this, We have a selection on this day and seriously cant wait for Sunday the 30th June, come visit us as we do #African Dance, Avnel trampoline, Hair braiding, Artwork display, African Music and the chance of Triple 3 performing. As part of the AFRICA DAY celebration, LAOIS AFRICAN SUPPORT GROUP and DUNAMAISE ART CENTRE Portlaoise have come together to screen an african movie called (QUEEN OF KATWE) the film depicts the life of Phiona Mutesi, a Ugandan girl living in a slum in Katwe. She learns to play chess and becomes a Woman Candidate Master after her victories at World Chess Olympiads.[6]
